JAM 2006

Student Transition Conference

JAM (Jobs, Awareness, Motivation) is a conference for 10^th grade youth with disabilities. Bringing together 450 youth from 30 Kent County Schools, we offer presentations from 50 presenters from our community. Sessions one and two focus on careers and the skills necessary to access those careers. Session three focuses on community resources and support that is available to youth as they transition to adult living. We begin the conference with a motivational keynote speech and end the conference at lunch with a DJ from WSNX playing music and giving away prizes.
